  • 1 pound fresh strawberries
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to the temperature on the brownie mix box. Grease or line an 8×8 or 9×9 inch baking pan. Prepare the brownie batter according to package directions and spread it in the pan. Bake for the recommended time for a fudgy texture, until a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs. Cool completely on a wire rack.
  • Pat strawberries completely dry. Melt chocolate chips and coconut oil together in a microwave or double boiler until smooth. Dip each strawberry into the chocolate, coating about three-quarters of the way up. Place on a parchment-lined tray and refrigerate for 15-20 minutes to set the chocolate.
  • Once the brownies are cool and the strawberry chocolate has hardened, arrange the whole chocolate-covered strawberries on top of the brownie slab. Alternatively, slice the brownies first and place one strawberry on top of each square. Serve immediately.
