  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup butter, softened (for filling)

  • Preheat oven and prepare a loaf pan by greasing and lining it with parchment paper.
  • In a bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients: all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • In another bowl, whisk together the wet ingredients: milk, eggs, softened butter, and vanilla extract.
  • Gently combine the wet and dry ingredients, mixing until just combined with no streaks of flour. Avoid overmixing.
  • Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  • In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar, ground cinnamon, and softened butter to create the filling. Sprinkle a generous layer of this mixture over the batter in the pan.
  • Carefully top with the remaining batter.
  • Using a knife or skewer, gently swirl through the layers 4-5 times in a figure-eight motion to create a marbled effect.
  • Bake until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs. The top should be golden brown.
  • Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
